Description
The Indigenous Councillor Course Fee is $100 for ASMIN members, or $175 for Non-ASMIN members for a 2 part Course, plus $100 annually for Indigenous Law Card. Annual Card holders will be entitled to future lectures at a reduced enrolment fee. Course material is contained in a Sample Factum (Memo of Fact & Law).
The Course will prepare you:
A) to represent Self-determined Litigants in a colonial court primarily via UNDRIP Article 18, and Daniels v CANADA [56] or
B) to educate people on the LAW (as opposed to statutory legal fictions), or
C) to explain to police or other ‘authority’ figures about Indigenous Jurisdiction, which will be summarized on the reverse side of the Councillor Card that can simply be handed to the police to educate.
Part 1 – a 45 minute lecture plus 15 – 30 minute Q & A. followed by a written test.
